Where are the Friends?
This is really impressive! Friends should definitely be included. Also, please note the correct spelling of “impoundment.”
Thanks for including fire management! I suggest the person lighting the prescribed burn with a drip torch should be pictured wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) – - yellow shirt, hard hat, goggles, and gloves.

Wow! Very nice illustration. Don’t know if you are taking suggestions here, but I’ll give it a try. Friends Groups and volunteers are instrumental in accomplishing our mission. It would be nice to see at least one Service employee in uniform. Label the illustration of Theodore Roosevelt.

The fact that the Friends (with a capital “F”) are not depicted is symbolic of the lack of recognition in general at the conference of the Friends very unique charter to support the mission of refuges. It was disheartening to see these Friends groups lumped in with “friends,” organizations that support conservation in general or wildlife for other reasons and not be recognized for the special role they play with the Refuge System.
