Reflection on Day One of the Conference

Events at The Conserving the Future have started to unfold in a BIG way, inspiring over 1,000 wildlife enthusiasts to reflect upon both the recommendations in the vision document and their contributions to the U.S. Refuge System thus far. Two of my favorite gatherings were the 1) welcome reception and 2) lecture by world renowned Oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle.

An Inspiring Start for Conserving the Future Conference

As an attendee of The Conserving the Future Conference, I am already enchanted by the energy and enthusiasm buzzing in Madison, Wisconsin. Within the first few hours of the conference, I met a slew of inspiring, devoted, and wise individuals, each with his or her own view on the new vision for the Refuge System.
