Draft Urban Standards of Excellence (919.1k)
The Draft Urban Standards of Excellence from the Urban Wildlife Refuge Initiative Implementation Team are now available for public comment.
You may leave your comments in this group or e-mail them to [email protected].
The goal of the Urban Wildlife Refuge Initiative is to engage urban communities in wildlife conservation in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Excellence may be achieved through seven standards that serve as a framework for collaboration between the Service and urban communities on and off Service lands. These draft standards, developed with input from urban refuge managers, Service staff, and local and national partners from across the country, support the initiative’s goal and the mission of the Service to conserve wildlife for the continuing benefit of the American people. Your comments will assist the Urban Wildlife Refuge Team in revising and finalizing the standards.
